A transparent PNG is the flexible version to keep when you may place the reaction over different designs or export it again. Use the optional outline to prevent a face or object from disappearing on a similarly colored chat background. Check both light and dark surfaces, then choose subject scale and position so the reaction remains readable inside a square canvas.

Try another source when the expression is already blurred, the face occupies only a few pixels, important hands or ears are outside the frame, or the joke relies on background context that removal destroys. A reaction can also fail because the old background carried the meaning. A surprised face looking at an object, a pet hiding in a particular place, or a visual comparison may stop making sense when only one subject remains. Consider making two exports when the same reaction will appear on different chat themes.
